The “REAL” reason people choose BeWell Chiropractic

Early in my career journey, I believed people in sought Chiropractic care for pain relief. On the surface, this might seem true, but after asking patients, I found this was simply not the case. If not for pain relief, what’s the “REAL” reason people seek Chiropractic in Tigard?

1- Physical Abilities

R.S. is a 41 y/o business owner and hardened weekend warrior training for an Iron Man competition. Not for money or fame. Simply because he wants to. He hits the gym hard, pounds miles of pavement and is very conscious of what he consumes.

The frequent, heavy physical demands R.S. puts on his body has resulted in structural imbalances affecting his ability to train. He is a tough, burly individual not too worried about some local discomfort. However, he needs to train for the Iron Man and can’t do it effectively when he hurts.

2- Mental Health

T.S. is 43 y/o Mom whose family life is beyond chaotic. Maybe some of her complaints are from a prior car crash but stress is the main culprit. Her typical complaint? Headaches!

The constant mental-emotional-physical stress often overwhelms her ability to cope, spinning her into anxiety and depression. Without chiropractic maintenance care, T.S. becomes “stuck” and unable to get out of bed. Chiropractic care gives her the ability to stay mentally well, a benefit to the whole family!

3- Safety & Responsibility

B.H. immigrated from South Korea for commercial pilot training. At 32 y/o, he is otherwise a healthy and fit young man. The constant studying, flight simulators and brute force needed to fly a large airplane has affected his neck, AKA “Jet-Neck.”

This is a young guy with a long career ahead of him moving thousands of passengers around the world. Although his neck discomfort isn’t severe, it affects his concentration. B.H. told me: “I have a responsibility. I can’t be thinking about my sore neck when I’m flying hundreds of passengers.”

4- Better Parenting

A.W. is 49, married with a young boy at home. Work is stressful and headquarters just moved out of state. Career demands, tight deadlines and full schedules are a lot for A.W. to handle sometimes making him grumpy toward his son.

The benefits A.W. gets from feeling better go far beyond being able to bend, lift and twist. A.W. stated that with Chiropractic, feeling better makes him a better Dad!

5- Keep Working

M.R. is a 53 y/o truck driver traveling daily across Oregon delivering needed products. Constantly checking side view mirrors, wrestling the steering wheel of a loaded 40 ton truck, crawling in snow to put tire-chains on and multiple prior injuries make it hard to carry on.

Married with 3 children, M.R. has true adult responsibilities: mortgage, car payments, school clothes, after school activities and yes… food! Because of his prior injuries and current career, he understands he will likely always have some discomfort. Chiropractic keeps him working so he can take care of his family.

6- Healthy Digestion

H.G. is a 5 y/o boy who suffered regularly from general sickness. This little guy would get constipated and within a couple of days, he’d become sick. His family “heard somewhere” Chiropractic could help his digestion and thereby reduce the frequency of sickness. (They were right!)

H.G. didn’t experience overt pain but suffered with organ dysfunction caused by nerve irritation to the colon. We removed the irritation, the colon came back on-line and his bouts of sickness vanished.

7- Healthy Body

T.R. is 48 y/o, very heavy individual who hurt all over due to the excess weight. Diabetes, neuropathy and early demise was all T.R. could think about but exercise was difficult because of low back pain.

T.R. started feeling better soon enough and was able to walk after dinner. As care progressed, longer walks and gym activities became possible. Today, T.R. continues the journey and happy to be moving in a healthy direction.

8- Birth Recovery

M.S. was 31 when her son was born. This little guy had all 10 fingers and toes, a nice head of hair and hardly ever cried. He was beautiful!

M.S. called one day because her son had stopped nursing. He just would not “latch on.” After some dialogue, she brought him in and I found a HUGE issue with his upper neck. (It happens. The birth process can be rough.)

After 2 visits, her son was back to nursing and gaining good baby weight. Today, he is a professional in the technology industry.

9- Mental Clarity

M.C. is a 52 y/o white collar professional who travels the world making extremely large business deals. However, his car crash injuries affected his ability to process information and deals were being lost. He was worried.

M.C. suffered whiplash and concussion. It took a couple of weeks of neurological rehab before the mental fog started lifting. His ability to process information began to improve and his hope of a full and purposeful life returned.
